Take Action.

Get Involved.

Take Action. Get Involved.

Organize.

The coalition creates space for individuals of all experience and background to help coordinate actions and events. We help create opportunities for students to lead climate action inside and outside of the coalition.

Mobilize.

There are tons of valuable opportunities for involvement that exist and are waiting for someone like you to take action. We help find people the right place to direct their advocacy.

  • Our best way to keep everyone up-to-date on action opportunities is via our weekly newsletter and Slack updates. This is where the most relevant opportunities are publicized by folks across Harvard’s institutions and organizations.

  • Our member groups are the epicenters of grassroots climate action on this campus and each one takes on a different niche in climate action. The member groups are always open to new members and are especially open to students excited to commit themselves to projects.

  • The coalition has 4 ongoing student-led projects that stand independent of any of the member groups. Projects are proposed by students within the coalition who would like to turn a dream into an actionable campaign. Current projects include:

    1. Institutionalizing Environmental Justice into Harvard’s decision-making

    2. Climate literary and visual arts magazine

    3. Research on indigenous curriculum development and implementation

    4. Storytelling workshops with student leaders across campus

We also have a list of projects that we need students to lead!

If you’re interested in any of the above, please email our projects chair, Saman, at sdesilva@college.harvard.edu

  • While the coalition has prioritized its work within Harvard’s walls, it is still focused on providing students with resources to take action that extends beyond Harvard. We are working on building out our infrastructure to pair students with local groups, but we have a list of potential NGOs to work with.

Email harvardclimatecoalition@gmail.com and we can help find an organization that fits your interests.
