Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice

Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice (HUEJ) has a dual purpose, to both educate and mobilize members of the Harvard and surrounding community in order to protect the Earth’s resources and ecosystems.

They take targeted political actions to further environmental justice efforts in Harvard’s campus, city, state, and country. These actions include managing issue-focused campaigns, campaigning for pro-environmental candidates, and lobbying for pro-environmental legislation.

They spread awareness of issues relating to environmental justice and train Harvard students to become advocates for those issues. They are currently focusing on creating opportunities and space for undergraduates to organize and have an on-the-ground impact on work centered around environmental justice and the disproportionate impacts of climate change on populations around the world.
