Our Values
Community
This coalition aims to unify the Harvard undergraduate climate space to create an overarching and diverse climate community on campus. We seek to spark and deepen relationships that spur impactful climate collaborations. We believe that diversity—of thought, identity, geography, and experience— and collaboration are our greatest strengths.
Justice
We recognize the inherent injustices present in the disproportionate impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities and acknowledge the global history of environmental racism. We aim to amplify voices from impacted communities and follow their leadership as much as possible.
Action
We are stronger together and have a greater impact when we engage in collective action. Together, we ensure Harvard leads by example in combating the climate crisis through bold and innovative action. We aim to affect change in both local and global communities as the need for climate action is boundless. This is a space for Harvard students to channel their skillsets, energy, and ideas into collaborative action.
Optimism
We remain hopeful in the face of the severity and urgency of the climate crisis and its impacts. We recognize that a sustainable and equitable future is only attainable through ambitious, creative, and enduring solutions.
Longevity
We are committed to ensuring this coalition persists beyond its founding members and organizations and seek to adapt to the needs of the Harvard community and future challenges. We prioritize transparency and accountability to ensure our efforts are effective in meeting the needs of the community and promote effective, positive, and lasting impacts.
